Getting Install Error

Hello everyone, I am trying to get C5 installed for a new client who already has a web host. I believe the web host is resold rack space or slice host server environment. I have not played with anything other than my shared hosting provider and some local stuff on my computer so I am no expert.

here is the error I am getting...

Required Items PHP 5.1 Available PHP 5.2 or greater is recommended for timezone support.

JavaScript Enabled

MySQL Available Function mysql_connect() not found. Your system does not appear to have MySQL available within PHP. (I looked at the actual php.ini file and found no reference to this, is there somewhere else that this exists?)

Support for C5 Request URLs concrete5 cannot parse the PATH_INFO or ORIG_PATH_INFO information provided by your server. (not sure what this means, where can I find this, shouldn't it be in the ini file?)

Image Manipulation Available concrete5 requires GD library 2.0.1 or greater.

XML Support concrete5 requires PHP XML Parser and SimpleXML extensions.

Web Server Access to Files and Configuration Directories The config/, packages/ and files/ directories must be writable by your web server.

Testing Optional Items Remote File Importing Available Remote file importing through the file manager requires the iconv PHP extension.

Version Comparison Available You must chmod 755 concrete/libraries/3rdparty/htmldiff.py and disable PHP safe mode.

the web server is running cent OS 5.7 and webmin 1.5.7 can someone help me out and point me in the right direction please? I have 2 clients that will need C5 websites at this hosting company.
