Help getting started please

Hi,
I have paid for a Concrete5 theme (Sue) and additional plugins.
I have a domain name and webhost.
I have logged into CPanel.

I have downloaded the Concrete5 zip to my harddrive but I cannot find anywhere here that tells me how to get my theme up and running with dashboard. I would like to start modifying my theme.

Please help.
Thanks

Hi - have you gone through the steps to install C5 to your site?

Maybe I should elaborate a little...

I get the impression you think Concrete5 is something that runs on your computer, when in fact it runs on your web site. It's a web-based content management system. In order to view and work with your theme, you'll need to install the system, then upload the theme and run the theme installation from the site dashboard that is created when you install the system. Hopefully, this is starting to make a little more sense.

I downloaded it to my hard-drive. Is that the right place? It did not specify with instructions.

"...site dashboard that is created when you install the system..."

-I didn't see a "site dashboard".
I don't know how or where to install the system/zip.

I wish there was a clear demo on this.
Unfortunately, it isn't any clearer.

55 is right, some CPanel web hosts have an automatic install for C5 - that's the easiest way to go. In the hosting package I have, it's included with Fantastico Delux, but it may be different with your setup. If you're not sure how to find it, your hosting provider should be able help you.

For instructions on how to install it manually, go here:

Does your host have a 'one click install' option?

Some hosts install C5 automatically.

If not then you need log into cPanel and upload C5 to your root folder (public_html)

If you need more help let me know, I have to do it quite often.
