How do I chance example.com/c5 to just example.com?

Currently example.com/c5/ is my site but example.com is a page telling me apache is installed correctly. the "It Works!" page. I've got it installed without cpanel on a vps
My domain is an Irish .ie domain which is slightly different and can't be readily changed and I'm using version 5.7.
Do you know any tutorials for option 3? Unfortunately I know very little about how to change config files or how to move the install to the root. Thanks for the help

1. Simply set your domain to forward to the current directory. Maybe use a "masked" forward.
2. If you're using 5.6 or earlier, you could try using a plugin. "Domain Mapper" or "Multiple Domains" will work.
3. Move the C5 install to the root directory. You'll likely have to change the site config file.
