How to link the Concrete5 database to Concrete5

Sorry if I am not clear as I am not technical ...
We have moved our web to a new hosting provider.
We have lost access to our Concrete5 files that we used for online support for our clients.
Have the Concrete5 database but no idea how to open pages
Downloaded Concrete5.7.4.1 to my PC but don't know how to point it to the Concrete5 database that holds the files
Any assistance is appreciated

these are the normal steps to take when moving a site:
https://www.concrete5.org/documentation/developers/5.7/installation/...

- did you also copy the files mentioned in the link ?

- what concete5 version had the old install ?
you should use the same first. When everything is working again, you can upgrade.

- you downloaded 5.7.4.1 to your pc. It should run on a linux server, or on a local emulator like WAMP (windows-apache-mysql-php). Do you have something like wamp or xamp installed ?

please give more info on your setup and versions
