Images missing or corrupt after uploading new site.

Hi,

I have uploaded my concrete 5.6 site from the local server to my web host. Everything is working except all images in the site are either missing or garbled. Is this likely to be a permissions problem? The images are mostly jpeg. It also affects images used in the dashbord.

What permissions should I be checking and is there anything else which can affect images

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Nigel

i did not clear cache before uploading but I have done it now. If I paste image link directly into browser it shows the image with the same corruption. If I download the image again.. it is corrupted.

I am going to re-upload /files directory and see if the fixes it.

Thanks

In addition to all the cache things, it could be as simple as using the correct FTP mode when uploading.

If you FTP an image file in text mode, then random bytes in the file that match line end values can be corrupted.

Image files need to be FTP in binary mode. Most FTP clients can be set to take care of that automatically.
