Incompatibility issues upgrading to 5.5 from Concrete 5.4.1.1 or 5.4.2.2

Hi - I seem unable to have a successful import of Concrete 5.4.1.1 or 5.4.2.2 versions up to the latest 5.5. Basically when I build on the test site in a previous version it isn't loading in 5.5. I've had two sites now where I've had to downgrade back for it to work.

It comes up with various mySql errors and doesn't load the site. Am I missing anything here should I upgrade from 1.1 to 2.2 first or am I doing something wrong?

Its getting urgent now as my host is now porting 5.5 by default so I need to get this transfer to work ideally.

This 5.5 upgrade reminds me of Apple in the early days when they brought system software out before it was properly bug tested. I would love to recommend and upgrade my sites to 5.5 but how can I trust it when I haven't had one seamless install from 4.2.2 to 5.5?

Really dissapointed by C5 on this. No real recommended guidance on installing this upgrade and it is obviously a step too far going from 4.2 straight to 5.5. I have had no replies from anyone on this but I can't think that I"m the only person struggling with this 'upgrade'. How are other people successfully upgrading from the dashboard first or how?

If I go from my server script install and then do a database import from 4.2.2 and then try and load from my new 5.5 it comes up with errors every time...am I doing something wrong? Please help!!
