Install seems ok but can't login

I'd like to try C5 locally on a windows XP with easyphp. The install seems OK, I can view the site but I can't login to edit the site ...
I go the login page, log in (even try with a reseted password) and at the index.php/dashboard page I get a "You must sign in to view this page"
I'm using RC.1

Can you help before I definitely giveup with C5 (I used spip, cms made simple and drupal on the same system who work perfectly fine)

c5 wasn't designed with a windows environment in mind. I've heard of people doing okay with WAMP or IIS7 installed, but I'm afraid this isn't something we're going to spend our time helping you pull off:

I use wamp server to do things locally, then I upload to my webserver. Wamp runs the RC1 with essentially ZERO issues (at least for me). If you host is IIS7 then I can't really help, well any host for that matter.

So best case is use wamp server 2.0 hook into it with dreamweaver or Coda or ZendPHP on eclipse or something like that, then use your ftp program to upload to frz's servers.

Ok, I'll try wamp (or xampp). Thanks for the tip.
