Installation fails on adding block types

I've been trying to install concrete5 5.7.5.8 on a webserver, however I cannot seem to get past that step 'Adding block types'. It pauses ~1 min there then tells me service unavailable. I've tried it multiple times (always having to delete and recreate the database again), but it seems to be a permanent problem.

Unfortunately I have absolutely no clue where to look for in order to debug the problem and I wouldn't know what question to ask my web hosting company (I've managed to install it on a different hoster's server [after changing the session handler type from 'file' to 'database'], so I suppose it must have something to do with the webserver's settings).

Can someone please help me on this?

Hi, just wondering if you got this solved ...

Not really. I suppose it had to do with the setting of the maximum php execution time on that host. But eventually I changed the hosting service to that other hoster I had mentioned, where installation worked with the default settings.
