installation in directory of / conc /

Hi,
My hosting company support have sent me a email back. Having asked them to go live with my web site this is part of what they have written:

:You have installed the content of your website within the directory /conc/

As such, to visit your content you will need to go directly to:http://keithtinkler.photography/conc/...

If you wish to have the content display in the root of the domain, you will either have to move this or set up a redirect script.

Please refer to the software authors for further assistance if you wish to move the content as we do not support these products directly. :

Being a photographer I have no idea what they are going on about and How to sort it….Any help please

It looks like you have installed you website into a sub-folder within your webspace.

Currently a viewer would have to type in the URL "http://keithtinkler.photography/conc/" before they would see your new website.

You want them to just type "http://keithtinkler.photography" (the root of the domain)

If you log into you hosting space using an ftp program or through a control panel (via it's files editor/uploader) you should be able to see that all the files are structured and stored in folders much like you would do on a computer to keep things tidy (or at least should do!). And you should also see that everything to get your concrete5 site running has been loaded into a folder called "conc".

Basically you need to move everything from that folder up one level to the 'root'.

Your hosts should be able to move the files for you if necessary, as it's not a quirk of Concrete5 so you shouldn't need to 'refer to the software authors'.

Once the files have been moved, it should all continue to work. You could try clearing the cache and switching off pretty urls before doing this just in case, but don't know if this is necessary.

try looking here for some more info:http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/customizing_c5/publishing...
