Installing a new Theme and creating projects page?

Hostmonster is my webserver. I have been using Concrete5 for a little over a year for my web design. I just bought a new theme that I want to install and run and while trying to follow the instructions realized that I do not have any projects under the tab. How do I link my site to the projects page so that I can install the new theme? Or is there any other way to do this?
You can upload the theme to your root/packages folder and then install it via the dashboard
Okay, please note that I do feel like an absolute moron, But where do I find the root/packages folder?
Connect to your site via ftp or through your hosts control panel to access the folders and files..
