Internal Server Error during installation

I installed concrete5 at dreamhost then went throught the installation. the progress bar did its thing for about a minute or so then displayed the attached error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@xxxxxx.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

If I try to run it again, it tells me that tables are already in the database, so I delete the tables and try again and the same thing happens..

Any idea?

There should be a web server error log somewhere - it should have more detail on what the error was. You need to find that log (either using your hosting control panel/file manager, or via ftp) and it'll tell you where the problem lies. If you're unsure what it means, then post it here.

I can't find the log files. Do you know where I should be looking?

It depends entirely upon your hosting configuration. Most probably there's an "error_log" file in your document root. If not, then you may have to get in touch with your hosting provider.
