Moved site to a new server, now can't see files!

Hi all
Sorry if this has been posted before but I can't find the answer.
I moved my site from one server to another.
I didn't clear the cache first (whoops), but once I moved the site to the new server I disabled all caching and cleared the cache but I still can't see my files in the file manager.
I have checked on the server and they definitely exist in the files directory.
If I copy the path to the image and add that to my domain my browser (Firefox) says "You do not have permission to view this directory or page."
What can I try next?

Thanks for your reply. Ive enabled them via plesk exactly as on my old server. Could there be anything else doing it?
Do you get any error or messages ?
The only error I get is when trying to view one of the images from /files/ in my browser and it says I don't have permissions to view it.
Set the permission to 755 on the folder and make sure everything inside inherits the permission.
