moving a 5.6.3.4 to a new host

Hi,
Im expirencing difficulty moving my 5.6.3.4 site to a new host.
Im followinfg directions on this page

where the steps are followed.
I Get the following error
Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on boolean in /home/nielstieland/public_html/concrete/core/models/package.php on line 66

I Get the following error
Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on boolean in /home/nielstieland/public_html/concrete/core/models/package.php on line 66
That error sounds like the DB information in the /config/site.php doesn't work.

Now i've got an other question if I may?
The last site i'm transferring givesme the following message.
Not Found
"The requested URL /bomer-engineering-services/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
I followed exactly the same steps I did when transferring my other sites and dontknow why i'm getting this.
Can you help?
