I am building a new website with an old domain name, have some complex layouts, lots of pages, using Silence Theme advance slider, accordion, etc. but now I realize i should do this entire website under a different domain name, etc.

How can I keep everything intact from the old domain and website and take it over to a new domain, and website.\

I do have my own VPS and full ROOT and database access, but I am not excited about copy over from one domain on my VPS server to another new domain and website area.

There is always the risk of missing a file or 2 and not really getting a good transfer.

I have talked with my VPS tech support, and they say it can be done if everything else set up before, including database.

Now this is also part of my question, pulling the old database into a new one do I need to change the name or can i keep it the same, under a new domain/?

any thoughts about moving this over would be appreciated

thx

I avoid the possibility of file corruption during FTP transfer by using my host's File Manager and 'archiving' or 'compress' the entire root folder. I upload the zip and use the new host's File Manager to 'expand' or 'unarchive' the uploaded zip file.

Or you could just use this:

Have a look at the glowing reviews. It's well worth the $35.
