Moving my site from one host to another

Hi,

our site was built and tested on another host and domain name(Arvixe - ekimeibor.com).
Temporarily we have forwarded our A record to this site so it is "live"
http://www.gsichicago.com uses MOD rewrite to refer to ekimeibor.com

I want to move the site back to the host of gsichicago.com (Cbeyond).
I have read many of the posts in these forums and on the web.
I believe I have archived and copied all of the files correctly and created and imported the database on the Cbeyond host. I have also updated the site.php and the .htaccess files on the cbeyond site.

I also want to eliminate the /conc subdirectory when accessing the site - from gsichicago.com site.

I'm stuck when I go to gsichi.cbeyondhoting2.com/conc I end up back at the arvixe site. (but the URL in the browser is gsichicago.com/conc - not ekimeibor.com/conc??)

I thought I could move the site to Cbeyond - get it all set up there then repoint the A record ... but I think I'm caught in a loop.

I thought this would be a simple thing and have spent days trying to get it right. Humbling!

Perhaps I should just leave it alone and update the .htaccess at Cbeyond and point it to ekimeibor.com?

Thanks for any help.

Mike
