New Concrete 5.8 and cannot connect to Community

Permalink 2 users found helpful
I want to download a theme, however as expected, I have to connect to the community. When I do, I get a corrupted page.

Signing in via a browser, I notice several instances of my website:www.www.toddcary.com/gbrc_responsive.... I downloaded the theme (stucco) and manually put it into the application/themes directory, but it does not show up properly (unnamed).

Am I making some mistakes?

Todd

When you download something off the marketplace it's an entire package that can contain themes, blocks, or any number of other c5 related things that go into a package.

So if you downloaded stucco, once unzipped, it needs to go in your /packages directory, not the application/themes. Then in your dashboard you go the "Extend concrete5" and from there you should see the new package. When you install the package, it installs the theme (and blocks or whatever else it contains) for you. So once you install the stucco theme package the stucco theme itself should appear in your themes area waiting for you to make it the active theme.

Thank you. I did figure that out and have Stucco up and working, however the "Join the Community" part of C5 - 8 does bring up a corrupted form whether it is part of the demo that came with the install or Stucco. Not a show stopper, but an inconvenience.
