Oracle or MS SQL Installation

Permalink
Hello,

I need to install Concrete 5 (5.7.5) onto a Oracle database. Does anyone have an idea what needs to be changed to use the OCI PDO driver and Oracle database?

Thanks,
Brian

Have a look at
http://documentation.concrete5.org/developers/database-management/o...
and subsequent pages.

It MIGHT be as easy as adjusting application/config/database.php. But it probably won't be.

I was thinking something like this...just to test.

1) Copied "... > PDOMySQLConcrete > Driver.php" and renamed to a new driver file called "DriverOracle.php" under Concrete > Src > Database > Driver > PDOOracleConcrete5 (new folder)
2) Changed class inheritance to "\Doctrine\DBAL\Driver\PDOOCI8\Driver"
3) Changed $dsn to 'oci:' from 'mysql'
4) Changed "... > database.php" to reference new PDO OCI driver. Mysql is commented out.

return array(
'drivers' => array(
'c5_pdo_mysql' => '\Concrete\Core\Database\Driver\PDOOracleConcrete5\DriverOracle'
//'c5_pdo_mysql' => '\Concrete\Core\Database\Driver\PDOMySqlConcrete5\Driver'
),

Haven't had a chance to test it yet. Need to enable the PDO extension on the server.
