Pretty URLs not working but only on Android 4

I've read other posts where Pretty URLs don't work on some systems because of problems with the .htaccess rewrite rules. I don't know if my problem is related to that or not.

If I enable Pretty URLs they work fine on my desktop browsers and on my Android v2 browser but doesn't work on my Android v4 browsers (Chrome, Firefox & Dolphin). On the latter I get 'Page not found' - I even get that on the concrete5.org home page. If pretty URLs are disabled and the .htaccess file deleted I can see the pages of my site on all browsers. The URL of my test site ishttp://dev.paul-ellis.co.uk/conc/...

Has anyone else seen this? I thought .htaccess was processed at the server so can it really be different on different devices?

Many thanks,
Paul

It might seem a stupid question, but do you retain this result after clearing the cache of your Android 4.X device?
I'm personally not aware of any issues between Android and C5, so I'm inclined to think it might be device related. If possible, do you have access to another Android 4.x device, so you can duplicate the test on this device?

It is highly unlikely that it is a C5 issue. Did this happen the first time you went to the page on your Android?
