I've extracted and set folder permissions.

Pointed browser to location and got all green ticks, click to continue to the next page and enter site name, password, database info. Click "install Concrete5" and it seems to not accept anything:

A password must be between 5 and 64 characters
You must select a valid sample content starting point.
Please specify your site's name
Please specify a valid email address
You must specify a valid database name
You must specify a valid database server

opensuse, apache, suhosin php

Have you tried another browser?

I've tried Chrome and Firefox.

However it does work after I've uploaded to another server, a free host.

So something is up with my server...

Sounds like a write permission to the database or config files.

I switched off Suhosin and it worked.

I think one issue is Suhosin was not allowing mysql login/connection via user info entered on a web page. Login details should be in a config file, hence it did not like web based install procedure. That's my theory anyway.
