Project Page Showing Two Versions of Concrete5 Installed!

Hello all,

I am having a problem where a couple of my add-ons are not updating. Additionally an analytics add-on is not tracking any analytics.

In trying to figure out why I noticed that when I look at my account's "Projects Page", my website shows twice, ones with the IP address and Concrete5 5.4.1.1 installed, and the other with the site name and Concrete5 5.5.1 installed (screen grab attached).

I am thinking this may be the culprit behind my problems. But even if it isn't, THIS AIN'T RIGHT!

Any idea how I might get rid of the 5.4.1.1 project? How to deinstal that from our server?

What you could do is, you can choose your older concrete5 website version, then click on “Edit project” and press the delete button.

Important notice:
All the attached add-ons will be loosened from the deleted project, and you might not find them in the newer project, but that does not mean that they are no longer available on your website.
And a non-free add-on license from the old project has to be attached to the new project.

This is at least the way I handled this matter.

These are good instructions to follow. It sounds like you ended up with a second project page when you changed from the IP address to the domain name--it doesn't mean you have a second site copy, just that the marketplace didn't recognize your site once you changed to the domain name and it created a new project page like it was a new site.

You can easily release the add-ons from the old, not used project and add them to your current project. Here's a handy guide:

In my case, it could have had to do with the following:

On some webhosting environments, it was not possible to upgrade from concrete5 5.4.x to 5.5.x, because of some database restrictions. 5.5 has a somewhat different db structure or different tables, and some SQL commands were not allowed by the hoster (I can’t remember the details).

So I had to do a fresh install. After that, a reconnection to the marketplace was needed. This could have led to the duplicate project entry.

Thanks for the link, Julia!
