I found an article in the forums dealing with a manual fix and it works for dealing with sending email with Contrete5 version 8. I put together a video for those who are more visual learning.

File location in Cpanel or Hespia Control Panel on your hosting.

folder name: concrete

file name: concrete.php

don't leave the default port blank that says leave blank for default that doesn't work you will need to add your port number as i have talked about in the video.
