Transferability of add-ons

I will be redesigning my Concrete5 site. I would like to start in a new directory on my server, (don't want to redesign on the live site), with the newest version of Concrete5. Will I be able to use all the same add-ons from my live site, or do I have to buy another license since this would technically be a separate site? (Although it would eventually replace the current site and be the only one.)

As long as it is the same site and the old site will disappear when the new site is launched, you don't need to buy new licenses.

You can transfer the licenses from the old project to the new project here at concrete5.org. Under your account, you'll find the "Projects" sub-page where you see all your projects linked to the concrete5.org community. You'll need to locate the old project and disassociated the licenses from that project. After that, associate the licenses with the new project.

Later on when you're ready with the new project, you can go back to that page and delete the old project completely.

Please note that this only applies to situations where your old site will be replaced with the new one. The licenses are always site-specific so one license per product per site. You can have multiple versions of that site e.g. for development and testing purposes as long as it is the same site.
