Update Error 5.4.2.2 to 5.5.1

Hello. I have version 5.4.2.2 and when trying to upgrade to last current version I get an error and cannot continue. Is there a way to do a manual update? Is this recommended?

Thank you!

what is the error?

Sorry,

The error says:
"Error HTTP 500 (Internal Server Error): Se encontró una situación inesperada mientras el servidor intentaba cumplir con la solicitud."

It is in spanish, but it is an internal server error and petition could not be finished"

Thanks!

That is very odd, can you check the php error log? (if you don't know how to ask your host)

Changed browser to firefox (was using last version of chrome) and both the backup and update scripts start executing and then screen goes blank and process stops.

in contact with hosting tech support. They say that site works ok... i think we need to manually update, since there is no direct way to update thru interface. Cannot create a DB backup either.

Either I continue with the system as is, or try to update manually and hope this can fix anything broken

Any suggestions or ideas to explore?

In the php error log, it should have a specific error, and that is what I need to figure out what is wrong.

Hello. talked to the hosting and finally the issue was that my server ran out of ram. Corrected this and worked fine.
