Upgrade failed

It's a while ago when I clicked on UPDATE but it failed and I don't know the reason and left it for a while like this.

The website http://philippinen-reisen.com/amain... is running. I can log into the dashboard but before I can do anything an automated search for an update starts and will never end.

Before the update I did a back-up but I have really no idea what I have to do.

I'm already thinking, I have to start from the beginning again. Someone can help please?

Thank you
Dieter

I can see from your source code that you are running 5.5.1
There have been problems with auto update recently so I would advice against using it, instead do this,
download the latest package from this website (currently 5.5.2.1),
unzip the package and ftp it into the root/updates/ folder,
then run this file from your browser,
http://www.yoursite.com/index.php/tools/required/upgrade...
make sure you backup your database before updating just in case..

Thanks for the instant reply. The file 5.5.2.1 is uploaded but I maybe don't understand the next step I have to do.

I try to go in the browser to http://philippinen-reisen.com/index.php/tools/required/upgrade... but it leads me to index page and nothing else happens.

I think I don't understand.

Please reply in simple steps what I have to do next.

Thank you.
Dieter

Yup, something happend and I got this message:

Your site is already up to date! The current version of Concrete5 is 5.5.1. You should remove this file for security.

Do I have to delete this 5.5.1 version file in the update folder?? or all the other folders ??

No Dieter
You can ignore that message, it no longer applies..
Is your site working okay now,
I see that the update was to 5.5.1
The latest package is 5.5.2.1 but if it works okay in 5.5.1 then all is well..
