upgraded Concrete version and now blocked out

I downloaded the latest version of Concrete 5 and followed directions to back up the current files, which it did with sql. I can;t open that backup though, and it will not allow me to even access my web page at all. How can I can this back to the earlier settings? HELP!~

How exactly are you trying to 'open' it and what messages do you receive (if any)?

Do you get any messages or just a blank page?
To restore your site you typically remove the existing files and copy over the ones you made a backup of. Then you 'drop' your database tables and import the SQL backup you made.
