Upgrading 5.4.2.2 ---> 5.5.2.1: Update page says the system is up-to-date?

I'm upgrading C5 from 5.4.2.2 to 5.5.2.1, and when I go to the Update page in [System & Maintenance]: [Update], it says, "You are currently up to date!"
Is it still possible to just download and update the system manually? I checked the documentation, and there is no longer any reference to that procedure that I could find. (I gather C5 is moving away from that method?)
OR...
Does anyone know why the system is failing to detect there is a newer version available?

Found the answer. After the 5.4.2.2 update, the system did not "check" for further updates right away. I just looked again, and the update message for v 5.5.2.1 is now appearing.
So (in case anyone else runs into this) the answer is: wait, and keep checking.
