White screen of death after upgrade to 5.6

I don't know for sure if this issue is related entirely to the upgrade. Occasionally I have had this same result after running automated jobs including updating cache. With the current version, I am able to resolve the issue by simply refreshing the web files from backup. However, this method doesn't work following upgrade to 5.6. My only method of recovery is to roll back to 5.5.2.

There are several other threads related to the error messages below in these Forums, but none seem to address my issue. I have followed the instructions in each of them, but cannot find any evidence of a corrupt block, or Clipboard issue.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here are the error messages before and after upgrade.
