YouTube background

Working on a site and have been trying to add the purchased YouTube background. I can get it inserted but you cannot see it - only hear it. I have been reading that I need to turn the homepage transparent but the attributes tab doesn't have that option and I don't know where and what to place in the CSS to turn it transparent. Can anyone help?
