Copy Language Tree excludes home page

I understand the behaviour of this will not copy across or replace the home page itself. However, that is exactly the general workflow I associate with adding a new language to a website.

If I have an English site tree and then wish to add another language tree, copying the language tree does indeed copy every page underneath the home page but not the home page itself.

I understand this is by design but why? Surely one would also like to copy across the same home page to then update each section with the translated content.

I would like to know why this is the case? The homepage should be considered for translation so why is it not included in the language tree.

This is also the case with the export function of the enterprise addon it does not include the homepage.

I really don't understand the lack of this functionality. Surely easy to implement, and for me a deal breaker. I need to build a multi-lingual site, but if the home page is not included... what's the point? Particularly I want to build a simple modern one-page site, this page being the home page, so it seems that Concrete won't allow me to do this. Otherwise, Concrete is great, but I'm currently looking at other CMSs for a solution.
