File Importer is not good for multibyte languages.

FileImporter::import vanishes multibyte filename when sanitize it, because sanitise method allows only alphabetical characters or numbers. Remains only extension...
I think it is also no good for languages with Umlauts. Is there any way cleaning filename without deleting multibyte character?
