Just wanted to let everyone know I've merged strings for all languages for 5.3.2. I know I've said this before, but we have officially released 5.3.2 as of this morning, so this REALLY IS the final ! ;-)
Additionally, I have taken all the translations that have strings mostly translated (> 85%) and have added them to SourceForge. This list includes
Danish (da_DK)
French (fr_FR)
Spanish (es_ES)
Finnish (fi_FI)
German (de_DE)
Italian (it_IT)
Japanese (ja)
Swedish (sv_SE)
We had to drop Portugese as it hasn't been updated in awhile. Please, make changes and I'll get them up on SourceForge. Any other languages I encourage people to get in there, we'll try and be quicker about posting them.
Hi, I am working on a new Brazilian Portuguese translation (is about 75% complete), but I noticed there were many strings missing in messages.po file (the one in the first thread, from version 5.2).
Some examples:
File Manager > Access > Allowed File Types
File Manager > Access > File Storage
File Manager > Search > Results Per Page
Users and Groups > User Registration > Public Profiles
Sitewide Settings > Access > IP Address Blacklist
Is there a more recent messages.po file, with all the strings, including the new ones from version 5.3.2? Or at least can someone teach me how to include those strings?
I finished the translation to hungarian, but I've a big problem. There are places where the special characters (ő,ű,í) don't appear correctly in the admin page. For example: "Dashboard" in hungarian "Vezérlőpult" button is good at top of the page, but in a modal window, for example when inserting a new block: "Ăj hozzĂĄadĂĄsa" which should be: "Új hozzáadása is bad".
Where should I correct this problem? In the database, in my apache configuration or file encoding causes the problem?
Hello again!
I added the line AddDefaultCharset UTF-8 to my apache config and this partly solved my problem, "Ăj hozzĂĄadĂĄsa" is now: "Új hozzáadása" so the UTF-8 encoding is now OK.
I've realized that words in the database is putted in a bad charset at c5 install, maybe in latin1.. So now every characters like ő, ű replaced with a "?".. Maybe I should change my MySQL server default-character-set to utf-8?
Question for c5 developers: what kind of encoding do you use when translations are inserted to the database?
Because I think here will be the problem..
Hello Andrew, sorry for delay, I've been much busy at work in the last month but now I've committed the 100% done Italian translation of 5.3.2 in trunk svn.
P.S.: what is the branches folder for? Shoud I update messages.po in that folder too?
I want to help in the translation to brazilian portuguese.
Where I get the messages.po of version 5.3.2?
Best regards,
Leandro Peracchi
