Language Switcher Question

Hi, I'm building my first multilingual C5 site in English and Welsh. Regarding the Language Switcher Block, is it possible to display the Welsh language dropdown selection actually in the Welsh language i.e. 'Cymraeg' instead of 'Welsh' (English)?

If I remember correctly someone told this should work on 5.8. With earlier versions not.
With most sites this is not a huge problem, but I have made some sites with Japanese pages. It is hard to find the way back if you happen to visit the Japanese side. Thus we have to use flags. But also flags are problematic! What to use for "English"???
