C5 Add on Required For Hire Company To Provide Inventory and Quote Request System

We are looking for a company/freelancer that can assist us in adding a "shopping cart" type system to our C5 site. We run a hire business and so want to be able to provide an inventory of items that can be sorted by type and category etc. This will then allow the visitor to add items to a cart to then submit along with a hire date and other particulars for when they want to hire the equipment.

There will be no charge to the client or financial request etc at the checlout, just that the listing will show them pricing of the items and we will receive their request so that we can then provide them with a quote (once we have confirmed it is available on the date).

Ideally we would like the checkout part where they provide their contact info to have the option to link into Facebook so that they can link to that account to pull their information so they don't have to enter it all.

Each item will have a thumbnail, and small paragraph description as well as a daily hire price. There will be three icons under the thumbnail so that we can link to a pop up information video, manual and link to the manufacturers web site for the product. Aside from this when the user clicks on the title or the thumbnail it will bring up the item page with all the information on the item.

We also have graphic for special offers which is a package of items so when creating the items we would also need to be able to create packages and add items to that by a tick box etc. These packages would need to be able to be added to a shopping cart as well.

We would be happy to come to some agreement on licensing on the end product so that the partner we work with on this can resell it on the Marketplace or a profit share of some description.

Hi,

I think this all can already be achieved with the eCommerce add-on although you wouldn't need all of the features available there. Have you tried it out?

I think the only things that aren't possible in it are:
- Making "package offers" of your products
- Facebook login

If you need to keep inventory up-to-date for each product, then you would need a custom module for "package offers" but if you're just using this as an ordering platform, I think you can also have the "packages" there as single products.

Facebook login can be done with an own add-on. There are actually few available in the marketplace but I think in this case it would be easier to create a completely new add-on for that because you need to get also other data from the facebook account than just to confirm the login.

We can offer you eCommerce add-on customization but I think making an own add-on for this purpose would be quite a job. PM me if you're interested!
