Help developing the website

Hi!

We have designed our website bringyourownbaby.com using the Alpha theme on Concrete5, and have been getting great feedback from users. However, we would like to (a) automate the process for uploading data and (b) make some design improvements to the site (i.e to make some of the add ons that we have purchased responsive). As we are not programmers and have no real experience writing code (we have had assistance from a relative so far), we are looking for someone to work with us to help us achieve both of these things. We thought that as you are familiar with the php of the theme you might be a good place to start. If you are interested, please could you provide us with an estimate for each of the tasks outlined below? If you need further information to provide an estimate please let us know. Alternatively, if this is something you are not interested in please could you recommend someone who is familiar with your theme and the Concrete5 platform? A basic brief of the initial tasks we would like assistance with is is outlined below:

AUTOMATE UPLOADING DATA TO WEBSITE
We are currently using Google Docs to hold all of our data and have written google script macros to automate calendar updates and to merge the information which we then manually upload to our map. Separately, we are also having to also input this data manually into the website into the different page formats we have designed. As this is a very time consuming process we would like a way of either uploading the information from excel sheets directly into the database and then up onto the website or alternatively an easy way to input the information onto the site (i.e using a form) via the database.

DESIGN CHANGES TO WEBSITE
There are also some design changes that we would like to make to the website. Firstly we would like to make it more responsive, particularly the listings pages in the What’s On section. By way of explanation we have bought a block create add on but this is not responsive and so does not work within the theme on mobiles. We would also like to show the review rating on the listings page and not just the underlying page.

I should be grateful if you could confirm whether this is something you think you could help with and and provide an estimate of much this would cost. If you need more information please let me know. If you are interested please send us a PM.

Thanks!

Just so you are aware, you have posted this question to the general 'Jobs' forum which is publicly available to all and is followed by many concrete5 developers. From your post, it sounds like you meant to send your message directly to the developer of the Alpha theme. If you wish to contact Formigo directly, here is where you do that:

Mhawke, thanks for checking- the message was originally drafted for the Formigo team but in case they can't help us we are interested in quotes from other developers too!
