Looking for C5 javascript developer

I recently came this close to switching to Wordpress for nothing more than the fact that they seem to have a much better selection of themes and add-ons.. I even spent a week trying to learn the backend of WORDPRESS so I could do this... and to my amazement a week after trying to learn how to customize a site in wordpress I was still completely lost.

Concrete5 is MUCH more intuitive than WORDPRESS and a much better content management system. Though it can be extremely difficult to find anyone to help you in the forums on what seem like extremely basic questions.. I've decided to stick it out with Concrete5.

But in order to do so I need to have someone build me a few things that seem to only be available in Wordpress themes.

Here is a list of some of the things I would like built. I'm not sure if there are themes with the concrete5 portfolio that have any of these or add-ons that will do some of this stuff.. but here goes.

-Moving, panning, background likehttp://themeforest.net/item/krypton-responsive-multipurpose-wordpre...

-Cropping a background like thishttp://brad-web.com/pangaea/

-Blurring a background like thishttp://themeforest.net/item/vellum-responsive-wordpress-theme/full_...

- Graphic in the dropdown like the features dropdown of this pagehttp://themeforest.net/item/vellum-responsive-wordpress-theme/full_...

- Fade in images
- Content that separates when you scroll
- An icon footer menu that only shows up on mobile devices that looks like thishttp://agenity.com/mobile/

Please let me know if anyone in here would be available to build some of this stuff into an existing C5 theme. Thank you.

All these things are possible in concrete5. Most themes in the marketplace are created for a multitude of user sites. A specific build like you want would depend on the number of page types and the final look. Generally I think you are looking at $1000 and up, depending.

Here's the problem...

If a developer takes 50 hours to build feature into a theme, they are expecting a financial payoff by selling lots of copies of that theme. If you want someone to build the same feature exclusively for you, you are going to have to pay 50 hours x $50 per hour = $2500 for that same one-off feature for you. Are you willing to pay that?

I'm looking for someone that can build any of these features individually.. If it takes you 50 hours to tweak a style sheet to make the slider crop instead of shrink or make the background fade to blur or move than you're probably not the right programmer for me. I don't understand why anyone of you that know how to do this wouldn't just make one as a plug-in and sell it in the marketplace. These types of things are extremely popular on the web. So to answer your question.. no I wouldn't spend $2500 to have an effect like a moving background.

I'm interested in this job.

I'm working on a theme right now that actually gives the option to enable or disable the blur effect for a full-size background.

Question:
What version(s) of Concrete would it need to be compatible with?

Also, just a thought. I believe the reason you haven't seen some of these fancier effects is because Concrete - up to now (5.7) - has been using older versions of the jquery library.

l would only have to be compatible with the latest version of C5.
