Upgrading from 5.7.2

Permalink
Just downloaded Concrete5, it installed version 5.7.2, though current version is 5.7.5.1. Cannot get the system to update. Says, have to download 5.7.3 before any more recent version can be installed.
Download zip, drag concrete folder into updates folder, go to dashboard, hit update concrete5, says v5.7.2 installed - no updates available.

Please help?
thanks

If you *just* downloaded it, wipe it, download 5.7.5.1 and install that.

Save yourself the trouble ;)

You need to add a folder representing the version you want to update to inside the /updates folder. So for example, if you are trying to move to 5.7.3 then add a folder called 'concrete5.7.3' to the /updates folder and drag the 'concrete' folder into that folder.

root/updates/concrete5.7.3/concrete/ {core files}

Not sure what that means jasteele123. I just thought atorikian might want to know how it actually works for the next time rather than wiping things out every time there's a need to manually upgrade.

Yeah was in agreement, the rest was that he *just* installed 5.7.2, so after downloading and installing 5.7.3 he would have to do it again to get to 5.7.5.1

Hence my original reply. Clearer now?

I believe that upgrades to 5.7.5.1 are available now through the Dashboard->System and Settings->Upgrade concrete5 but I can't confirm if this works all the way from earlier versions.
