Edit Screen Going Blank

This applies to version 5.6 and below. Has anyone experienced the Edit screen working sometimes and other times going blank? The problem is intermittent. The code shows briefly before disappearing.

This is usually due to a PHP error or a Javascript error on the page.

If its a relatively new issue and everything was OK before, it could be your host has updated the php version.
