Issues with themes updating to latest versions of C5

I've had a couple of support requests in recent weeks with themes not working when a site owner updates to the latest and greatest versions of C5.

One thing that is causing issues is grid framework support.

The documentation for theming and keeping themes up to date seems to be very slow to update when a new version comes out. Does anyone have any advice or links to newer articles than those in the documentation section of this site?

Thanks
Steve

Yeah that's my thread.

The article doesn't really give a full example or walkthrough of making the grid work, just gives a couple of snippets.

I have some sample code from the guy who posted but I've not gotten round to playing with it yet. Was hoping for an Andrew style tutorial.

Hi C5ThemeTeam,

I don't predict an Andrew style tutorial for this. It falls into the area where the community can do it. Likely through a tutorial or updated documentation.

In the following documentation, did you read through the section on "Legacy Support: Concrete\Package\WidgetManager\Src"? Do your themes meet the legacy autoloading support criteria?
https://documentation.concrete5.org/developers/packages/adding-custo...

Also, I would review the code provided by community member jakobfuchs and report back if you are still having issues.

HI,

Could I send you over the package as I have it currently. I think I need some advice on it. I think I have everything in correctly but the skeleton grid still won't show in the layout dropdown.

Thanks
Steve

I'm working on a theming tutorial for 8.2.1 using sass and bootstrap 3.0. I will have the guys in the slack channel read it before I post it in the tutorials section and on my blog site. Should be done in a week or so.
