added new theme equinox

I added the new theme equinox and told it to replace my files, I'm just getting started but now I have this error and no clue how to fix it.

Call to a member function getPageTypeHandle() on a non-object

UPDATE: So I deleted that install, disconnected the theme from that project, did a new install of concrete5 through softalicious

Connected the theme and can't make it work. I'm back to the drawing board.... Feeling frustrated.

Sounds like you did most things right.

What went wrong this time?

I have put the theme to the project, but in the edit of the project it's not there to select

Did you Install the Package through the Extend Concrete5 page in the Dashboard? Did you Activate the Theme in the Dashboard?

OK that brought me to be able to download and install YAY

Thank you - This program seems to work really great, but WOW is it complicated at times

Well that was fun. I played around for a minute with customization, changing the setting from DAY to Night... and now the page is completely white with no links, nothing

Am I wasting my time with Concrete5?????

That looks like you've flicked the theme back for this page to the built in one, Elemental.

If you've been using a different theme, the names of the editable areas don't necessarily match, so this can happen when you change between them. It's not that your content has been removed, it's just displaying a different set of areas in this theme.

Try editing the design for this page again and changing the theme to the one you've been using previously.

To answer your second question - no, you're not wasting your time. Concrete5 is awesome. It's incredibly powerful, so it's worth working through the initial learning curve.
