all pages are redirected to login screen

Hi,
I'm pretty new to C5 and still in the testing phase.
A few days ago I did put a testing site online on a external webserver and activated pretty url's by copy/paste the code into htaccess.
Things worked well for a few days till today. When I try to access my site while not logged in, I get redirected to the login page.
Do you guys know how I can find a solution to this?.

It had nothing to do with pretty url's. But all with permissions.
I accidently unchecked read permission for the 'guest group' when I was playing around.
