blank site after activating new theme

hello, first sorry for english mistakes (i´m from germany)

i´m new in concrete and have a problem. after installing concrete 5.7.5.1 i purchased the theme Calyx 5.7. I connected it with one project, but after activating in the backend i get a total blank site. I can´t edit enything. Switching back to the old theme shows my content. What can i do to see my site with the new theme?

Sounds like your new theme has named the areas where you can place blocks differently.
Normally your theme has an area named "Main", this is somewhat of a community standard.
post a screenshot of one of the pages with the old and the new theme in edit mode, then i can see what we can do

This is speculation but it looks like your new theme uses different pagetypes (different names) and that this is causing the pages to go blank.
Can you go into the dashboard after switching themes? try making a new page with the new theme, if you get a normal page then it means that the theme works.
What you could do then is go to the sitemap and change the design to the new theme/pagetypes for the excisting pages.

no it do not work. at the dashboard the pagetypes of the calyx theme are available for each page but if i switch a page to calyx theme (or the free fruitfull-theme also) i see a blank page without the dasboard menu. I can´t navigate from there. I have asked the designer for help-hope he will help. if not i supported him with 30$ for some nice screenshots :-(

Well its his theme so and if you bought it through the marketplace then he has to provide support, if he doesnt then you can request a refund.

hey i got it solved by myselfe :-)
I deleted my concrete installation and did a clean installation without the concret5 content. After that i connected the calyx-theme to the project and reloaded the webbrowser.
A new Error "allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted" were shown but the dashboard was there.
I pushed the memory size in index.php up to 1024M and now it works...just to know
