Composer buggy when adding pages with my custom theme

I was unable to add pages for a few days now until I figured out work-arounds for composer. When I add a new page composer is blank so I "couldn't set the page name or location" therefore I was unable to publish the page.

Sometimes, at random, if I go back into C5 system settings and then back to the front-end, composer will appear correctly. But I haven't gotten it to work consistently yet.

Right now the only way I can add a page is to manually go into attributes and set a name, and then it sets the URL slug automatically. Then I can go into location and select the parent page.

While this may be fine for me, it won't work for my client. Is there something I'm missing in my theme? Could there be conflicts in the CSS or JS?

NOTE:
The first screenshot is where I select which type of page I want to add (Default is what I select). The second screenshot is what I see when I try to configure my page in composer (after I click the wheel icon in the C5 bar)

Hi mmmshuddup,

When you switch from your custom theme to the default Elemental theme, do you still have problems with Composer? If the problems go away, then it is a theme issue.

Are you providing all the assets that you registered in your theme page_theme.php?
