Connecting Site to community does nothing - can't install theme I purchased

Hello,

This is my first attempt at building a web site. I tried to link our site to my CC5 account and from the dashboard it says it is linked but when I try to go to the project page it just takes me to a login page at CC5. I log in and it just takes me back to the login screen. The top bar shows I am logged in to CC5 and when I go to my account it still doesn't show any projects associated with
my account.

Unfortunately this is happening after I purchased a theme that I really need to use for a project. So now I have a theme I can not install because my site is not associated to a project.

Can someone help?

Thank you!

Did you log in using your site log-in or your C5 credentials?
If you tried connecting from your site and used that user name and PW it would not be valid and just redirect you to the log-in

Hi Adreco,

What do you recommend that I do? Before I posted on the forum, I added a user in my site that has the same username + email as the one I registered with on C5. Logging into my site with that username (which matches my C5 user name) didn't seem to work either.

Thanks.

The site log-in and Concrete5 community log-in don't need to be the same. What I meant to point out was that when you connect to the community from your dash board for the first time, you will be prompted to connect by filling in your Concrete5 user name and PW. There is no need for this to match your website log-in.

By the way... if logging in to the community still doesn't work and you need to have your theme right away, it can be manually loaded.

Go to "My account" found on the upper left of this page - select "transactions" from the column on the right - then "licenses" from that drop down and click "Download Archive" after the theme you purchased.

That theme can then be uploaded to your site using FTP software (I use Filezilla (its free)) The folder it needs to be uploaded to is called "Packages". When that is done, it can be activated from your dashboard.
Hope this helps :)
