Editing with Axis

I set up a website with another Concrete5 theme so I understand the fundamentals of creating and editing a site. That said, I need help with the Axis theme I just purchased. I've started by customizing and saving new colors. However, I can't view them in the preview area. Am I doing something wrong? Are there any tutorials for using the site?
