help themeing 5.7

I'm new to concrete5 and am using 5.7. I have followed the current developers resource the best I can (a.k.a. the posthttp://www.concrete5.org/about/blog/concrete5-sightings/5-7-develop... to create a custom them from the bootstrap 3 template. I am now having two problems.

1: i have the them set up to shift from side to side when the dash board and such open, however then tire page (including the dashboard) shifts down a bit and turns gray. At this point to only way to exit which ever menu I'm in is to refresh the page because everything becomes unresponsive. The only menu that doesn't do this is the menu to add modules to the page (however everything still shifts down until I attempt to drag something to the page).

2: On a less important note, I can't figure out how to add custom classes to blocks. I followed the tutorial and put the style in page_theme.php but the block names I've tried don't work. Is there a list somewhere of the blocks names in php form so I can add the style? (In this case, I need the auto nav block.)

Solved the first issues, the Loader::element('footer_required') part was inside the page wrapper div.

Still need help with the second part though.
