Help with Green Salad Theme

I have 2 questions so far that I could use some help with please. I'm completely new to Concrete5 and learning as I go. This is the first site I have built with the product and I'm completely impressed! Really like working with the tool :) Still, being so new I'm not sure how to do some simple things that I would have done with code. If you could look at the site pleasehttp://www.vernonlawncare.com you will notice the "Vernon Lawn Care" in the upper left corner. How can I remove that? Second, on this home page you notice the logo in the upper right corner, I'd like to center that or move it to the left corner. Not sure where it will finally go till I see it :) Thank you for helping a new guy out!

I really could use some help with this. Is there no way to move/remove the Vernon Lawn Care link in the upper left hand corner of this sites logo on the current version I'm using? I really surprised by that because this tool seems really flexible.

If that is the case, can I do a straight upgrade from the version this site is on directly to current? I've been in the software industry for a very long time and it's not uncommon to have to step up with versions.

Please I really need some help with this.

Hey garnold,

The entire theme can be modified if you don't mind a little experimentation to get it how you like. Just be sure to copy the theme to the folder one level higher so your changes don't get erased during upgrades. Several free editors are available (I like notepad++) to examine and edit code with.

However: The quick fix... go to dashboard, sitewide settings, sitename, and erase the name shown in that field. Clear cache, view home page, and see if that helped.

Also: Site upgrades are easy from the dashboard but review here http://www.concrete5.org/developers/downloads/... to see that you are not skipping any versions that are necessary

@Adreco I really wanted to thank you for all your help! You went totally out of your way with those PM's to me and it was the information that I needed. Again, just really wanted to make sure I thanked you :)

FYI for other noobs like me :)
If you are on a pretty early version of C5 and worried about upgrades don't be. What C5 does is looks at your current version and only lets you pull the correct next version from the dashboard. So all I did was upgrade from one version to the next letting C5 pick the correct versions along the way. Honestly, this has to be the best website creation tool I have ever worked with! I just can't see me ever looking elsewhere, this tool rocks!!!
