I need help editing my home page for my site. I'd like for the footer to be plain and not advertise Concrete5. In addition I'd like to remove the theme name of my site which appears to be a default towards the bottom of the page. I was unable to locate the programming for it, it appears to be an installed theme...I'm not very programming savyy so please, any simple directions should help me.
Thanks!

I think most of those things are just blocks, so you can change them using the editing interface.

'Buit with concrete5 CMS' is harder. It's coming from \concrete\themes\elemental\elements\footer.php. You can fork and change this file in your application folder, but if you're not a coder, you probably shouldn't.

Hi thanks for your help, this doesn't sound so hard, if i can just locate the application folder.
Another issue I'm having is the site wide header is displaying my logo everywhere else but the home page...when I'm in edit mode I'm able to see it, but when its published you cannot see it...strange. Any ideas?

What you want to do is generically referred to as "Whitelabelling" or "White-labelling". If you search for that, you will find more information on the forums and in the docs.

C5Hub has an addon to make some of it easier
