IE and html conversion template problems

i just converted an html template to C5 5.5. I've tested it on firefox, chrome and safari, and it all works well. I just tested it on ie and the layout is completely fubared. i have no idea what's going one. Here's the link:

Can anyone give some insight on what is the issue? i really need this to work and not sure where to start.

NOTE: i should have mentioned that the template without c5 conversion works fine. You can see it here:

You have for instance "head" tag twice there... that's probably a reason - bugs in the code. :)
