Page Type seen only by Home page, but missing on all others.

This is weird, I've had no problem adding page-types until now. The new page type did installed ok and is listed in the DashBoard/.../pagetypes.

When I edit the Home page and check "Design" the pagetype icon is listed and can be assigned. When I create a new page or select any page under Home, the pageicon does not show as part of available pagetypes under "Edit Page -> Design"

Does anyone know what gives? I've deleted and re-installed the pagetype and still the problem.

You may have already tried this, but if not, clear your cache from the System & Settings menu. If you are developing a site you probably want to turn the cache off.

No resolution yet. I've tried several approaches (all as Admin) with no luck. It appears that Edit->Design->Choose.a.Type presents a different set of Page Types for my Theme for Home versus pages under Home. This makes no sense. I've disabled the cache, noluck. Removed and reactivated my Theme, noluck. I've checked permissions, noluck.

Finally, I've created a localhost debug site where I installed a fresh copy of C5.5.1 and my theme, and that works fine.

It would seem to me that when you inspect your theme in the Dashboard and it confirms all page types are their, why the Design->Choose fails to provide the list of available page-types.

Hope someone can help, as this new page type is needed.

In case anyone comes across this question - I had exactly the same problem and it was only resolved by logging in as the admin to the site - the permissions for the user I was logged in as originally didn't allow me to use the new page type for any other pages apart from the Home page, and there seemed no rhyme nor reason for this, but all is now well.
