Slate theme navigation bar question

Hi!
I am using a theme with a top navbar for pages. ( slate theme)
How can I make some top-level items (nav menu item name) able to rollover to activate the drop-down, but not itself lead to any URL? Can this be easily done? ( Im a novice!)
